The Gerwetsch & El Alamein Lodge is a newly built luxury alpine residence, completed at the end of October 2025. Combining the Gerwetsch and El Alamein Suites, this beautifully designed 2-bedroom lodge fuses contemporary elegance with the spirit of the mountains, creating a peaceful and tranquil retreat in the exclusive Alpine village of Zermatt.
Located on the ground floor with views of the Matterhorn and Höhbalmen, the lodge offers two beautifully styled king bedrooms, both of which can also be configured as full-size twin beds. The suites feature handmade built-in wardrobes, smoked oak and oak floors with underfloor heating, and luxurious bathrooms finished with stone and Val-stone floors, each with bath, shower and WC.
The El Alamein Suite includes a separate lounge and dining area with a compact kitchen featuring a fridge, oven, hob and Nespresso machine. The dining table comfortably seats four guests, while the stylish lounge area includes a sofa and TV, making it ideal for relaxing after a day on the mountain. Interconnecting access between the suites creates the perfect private 2-bedroom alpine lodge for families or friends travelling together.
Guests have access to a shared wellness area with swimming pool, swim jet, sauna, steam room, outdoor jacuzzi and small fitness room. A dedicated massage room is also available, where our in-house therapist can offer Swedish massage, Indian head massage, full-body massage, manicures, pedicures and facials.
The lodge is ideally situated just 1–2 minutes’ walk from the Klein Matterhorn Express and approximately 8 minutes’ walk from the centre of the village.
Available on a half-board, B&B or self-catered basis, the property also includes full concierge services from Zermatt Ski Lodges.
